At NY Now and Shoppe Object this week in New York, the newest generation of home decor debuted. Here are are a few of the items we saw there.
First time NY Now exhibitor Par Ker Made showed its cotton throws, with designs based on founder Parker Heath's original art. Fun vases from Octaevo at Shoppe Object. Showing at Shoppe Object, Leah Singh works with artisans in India for her products, which includes candleholders and pillows. Memo Bottle showed its newest colors, including green, in its water bottle line. Made in Italy, new candleholders were among the Shoppe Object debuts at Miho Unexpected Things. The Skittle lamp from Lund London is a wireless portable light that includes a base that functions as a wireless phone charger, while the company's Skittle active bottles have a double opening for easy cleaning as well as a handle.Seattle-based Five Ply Design debuted its lightweight vessel made of basswood, as well as its charcuterie boards (called longboard and shortboard), made of solid walnut wood and with removable colored solid surface cheese inserts.With products handcrafted in Morocco, Dounia Home debuted its Riad chain pendant light in three sizes, and accent tables, including Najma and Almas here. Mosaic artist Allison Eden debuted her new partnership with HearthCabinet Ventless Fireplaces and Reflectel Mirror-TVs, which offers Eden's mosaic designs on fireplaces and TV frames. She also expanded her Lips mosaic design to table linens, included beaded tablecloths and placemats, with another partner. Design2Rave showed its artful jewelry holders, as well as a colorful tabletop game, designed initially for the founder's family as gifts. Chilewich showed its newest colors and designs, including Twist on the left. Everything is made in Georgia. Hanglo is a motion-activated lighted hanger that helps to illuminate closets. AAA batteries included.
